Last family on earth...

Are we the last family on earth not to own an Ipod or MP3 player??

I'm about to pack up the girls to meet Amy at the Y. There are no swim lessons on Friday so the girls will go to the nursery for an hour while Amy and I work out.

If I'm going to make working out a regular part of my weekly routine I think I should be able to be entertained while running on the elliptical machine. Yes, I blame the media for my feeling that I am unable to workout effectively without entertainment! :)

Here are my options...
*Browse random blogs until I find someone giving one away in a contest. :)
*Start watching for sales. :)

I LOVE a sale, but who are we kidding... a free giveaway is AMAZING!

So what do you do to help "pass the time" while you are working out?? What helps you push yourself that extra .5 mile or the last 5 minutes in your workout??

No... you're not the last one left. I didn't own one until Christmas. ThePioneerWoman.com is giving away a Zune or two on June 11th, if you want to go check out her page. She usually gives a 3-months subscription to Zune as well (so you can download unlimited favorite tunes). I have a shuffle, and I love it because it clips on to me! (Lord knows I would lose that thing if it weren't attached!) Hope that helps!!

Nope-we don't have an IPod either. I personally don't mind. It would be just one more thing to keep track of, and figure out how to use, and I have better things to do with my time!

I don't know much about iPods or MP3 players except the MP3 player I use at the gym uses up batteries quickly.
But it was a freebie from Xerox. What I really wanted to say was Amanda got a GREAT deal on a new HP camera for her trip from Amazon. It was a $280 camera for $95 with free shipping. So, you might want to check them out.
Glad your "week w/o Daddy" is over. Have fun at your party!! Tell those sweet girls that Gran loves them!

i was just going to tell you the pioneer woman is giving away a zune.

i personally am 1005 in love with my ipod touch. it was my christmas gift. i don't know how i ever lived life w/o it. my car cleverly came eqquiped with a jack to plug it into, so we jam all the time to it.

when i was going to the gym they played some good music... do they not do that there?

Believe it or not, there is a lady at Herb's gym who reads a book on the elliptical. She has been going for over a year now and has lost weight and built up her time to 30 plus minutes while reading a book. She looks miserable, but then all exercise looks that way. Keep up the good work whatever you decide to use to help "pass" the time.

No, dear, Grammy and Squire will be the last one. Try reading, listening to music on an antiquqted CD player, watching their tv with subtitles, or my personal favorite, watching other people and listening in on their conversation - can be very educational.
