The count down to 30 has begun...

Yep... I'm 29. Only 364 days till the big 3-0. Wow... that's depressing! :)

So, my day wasn't too bad. Riley was in a funk all day... that was difficult.

Thank you to my little blogging community for your lovely birthday wishes! Every single one of them was special and really made my day!!

After church tonight, Brandon surprised me with a cake...

Chandler shared her birthday crown with me. :)

Here is my yummy cake. It was so rick I couldn't finish my piece, but it was DELICIOUS!
Thankfully there were only 8 candles this year... I don't think we even had 29 candles!

This is a Project Chandler photo.
She wanted to take pictures of me opening my presents.
I guess she's been the subject of tons of birthday photos... it must be rubbing off on her!

Brandon bought me a HUGE pack of Twizzlers.
I LOVE TWIZZLERS!

Chandler had a present for me too.
She gave me her backpack and told me to look inside for my gift...
She had "wrapped" one of her blankets in her backpack.
I thought it was sweet.

So, all in all, not a bad day! :)

Today's installment of Project Chandler:

It's a yellow play-doh Christmas tree!

What does this picture say to me?
1. Focus is not important to a 5 year old with a camera...
2. The closer you are to your subject, the better
3. I will NEVER have a nice kitchen table... well maybe after Riley moves out. :)


Tonight, Riley climbed up into Brandon's lap (while he was attempting to watch football... ha ha!) and gave him a book to read to her...

"Once Upon a Time"

It's a story of a princess who meets a magical friend who grants her 3 wishes...
I bet as a boy or a teenager, Brandon never thought he would be reading princess stories! :)

This is today's Project 365 picture because...
1. I adore the silly face Riley is making!
2. Her toes are TOO CUTE!
3. It reminds me of how cuddly Riley can be, but only when she wants to cuddle!

So far so good!

Yep, it's only day 2 of my Project 365, but I'm proud of myself for just remembering to carry my camera in the diaper bag today! :)

Brandon had to go back to work this morning... boo!

The girls and I took it easy.
We slept in a bit... the girls slept in a bit more than I did... that may be a first in our family!!
We were just lazy.
I did some laundry.
The girls watched cartoons.
Riley played with the Hotwheels racetrack we bought them for Christmas.

About noon we started getting ready for the day because...

We had a DATE!

Melanie met us at the movie theatre with Daphne, Micah, Gabe and Myles!
If Riley had been sitting in her own seat (instead of crawling all over my lap) we would have taken up an entire row of seats!

We saw Bolt. I know it has been out for a while, but we had not gotten around to seeing it yet.
It was HYSTERICAL!

If you haven't seen it, you should. Rhino, the hamster made me laugh over and over again! Although, I think Melanie laughed harder and louder than anyone else in the theatre!

I wanted to get a picture of all of us in the lobby after the movie, but it just didn't happen.

However, on the way to the theatre, I passed my camera to Chandler and asked her to take a picture of me...

So begins, PROJECT CHANDLER

I've realized that there are SO many things to learn from seeing life from a child's perspective.

Such as:
I need to pay more attention to what my hair looks like from the BACK!
and
I look incredibly tense when I drive... I don't feel tense, but I look it!
